hey again. i had to write in about all these rquested books and records. i read "geek love" a couple years back, and it is good. i have a friend who subscribes to entertainment weekly, and he told me he read the movie rights had been purchased to make a movie out of it. douglas coupland : the only book i ever read from him that i liked was "life after god". i hated "generation x" and "shampoo planet". never read the microsoft one. i think i said it before, but you can never go wrong with some richard brautigan. oh, and i was in the barnes and noble yesterday flipping nonchalantly through the new book by marilyn manson. don't ask me why, cause i don't know. but parts of it were hilarious. there was this one section called "how to tell if you're gay" and it said that it was just for men because all women, by nature, are gay. but the first two (out of about 45) were as follows: 1. if you've ever had someone elses's sperm on you 2. if you've ever owned a smiths album and it went on and on and about fifteen or so of the how to tell's involved the smiths or morrissey. i guess it's time for me to recognize my true feelings. and records: for those country types out there..... steve earle's new album "el corazon" is really good. lambchop acetone aren't that good and they aren't that country either and they are nothing like b&s johnny cash, even though i know it's popular to like him nowadays the flying burrito bros. w/ gram parsons in it ricky nelson lee hazlewood there's more, but i can't think right now. -brad ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
