Suddenly everyone's piled back. Chris and Julia Lynyrd, Genevieve, the Dork of Harringay (you owe me 8 squid - that Tracey Thorn record is a pile of shit), Jackson Jeffrey Jackson, Mark C and others. I even notice Dr.Stride has lost his middle name. Nice to see Offbeat is back after the summer break. All we need now is for George Dickie, Rodd and Northy to come back. Hello to all you cheeky young monkeys enjoying this exciting new mailing list too! Glad to hear everyone's enjoying the new LP, "magical pop confection" that it apparently is; I haven't heard it yet cause it's not out yet but I'm sure I will enjoy it when it does come out. Does anyone have the DVD yet or does that take too long to download? The Tygers of Pang Tang were on Never mind the Buzzcocks a minute ago. I've always wondered what they sounded like - what with a belting name like that and I wasn't disappointed. Did anyone else see it? Is anyone else a fan? I haven't done anything in the last few years. Keith. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Keith, I'll always have 'Male Stripper' by Man 2 Man meets Man Parrish spinning in my heart, just for you. Rod's getting married! (does everyone know this already? Are the young ladies of today's Sinister weeping silently into their snakebite and blacks?) http://www.rodandjoyswedding.com/ it's all here!
Does anyone have the DVD yet
The Tygers of Pang Tang were on Never mind the Buzzcocks a minute ago. I've always wondered what they sounded like - what with a belting name like
No but I understand that one of the special features puts 20 minutes or so between each song on the DVD, just like they used to be on stage, live, as it was performed. that
and I wasn't disappointed. Did anyone else see it? Is anyone else a fan?
I saw that, don't you remember them Keith? Anyone else want to expose themselves? I'm sure Martin Rissbrook (Mr Loverman himself) posted here a few months ago. No Manchester date for the tour, I see. Nor a Glasgow one. Or are there others to be announced? I love Man 2 Man meets Mann Parrish - more thanks to Robert "Macca" McTaggart than anything; until he played it I'd half forgotten the record. I've been enjoying Diana Ross' Diana record this week two (it had its price remastered on Monday) and that Elton John single that's in the charts... hmmmm. them - which if memory serves, means I didn't attend the Reading festival in the early 80's. Still, looks like I'm gonna have to check out some of their long-players now - that bloke had one mighty haircut! Check this one out, this looks good especially with its crazy, pun-filled title and belting song titles. It also sounds good, turn up the volume on your analytical engine, it's got a track on it too called "Detonation"! http://www.angelair.force9.co.uk/sjpcd146.htm I see they're also from Whitley Bay which has a fantastic, knopfler-based rock heritage as we all know. As for old people from the list, good old Andreas P!O!P! 'Perfection as a hipster' Hering put a single solitary post on a few months ago.
No Manchester date for the tour, I see. Nor a Glasgow one. Or are there others to be announced? Come and visit! There's one in Edinburgh. We could even have a picnic and talk about the Field mice.
