Those following the goldfish / newt story will be shocked to learn that Bob and Thelma (or Smelly and Belly) have had their first row - one newt has savagely attacked the other, attempting to chew it leg off.

You have my utmost sympathy and I can only suggest seperating them and playing hell with the person you bought them off. Are they the same size? I know large goldfish bully the smaller ones in the tank, maybe it's the same with newts. Any one who has been following the story probably will not be shocked, and this just goes to illustrate that fish, amphibians and reptiles are not good pets for children, the fainthearted or people who get emotionally attached to their creature friends. Does the whole world have similar pet crisis or do Belle and Sebastian do something to their poor little brains?
