I'm the sort of sad bloke who'd find such a list fascinating!, like for example, when was their first gig, etc. Also, how many of these gigs do people have on tape? It'd be fascinating to hear an early gig! Cheers! Rocker, rocker@andyclin.exnet.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- . One of the very first gigs was in a bedroom in glasgow on 13th january 1996. it was just stuart m and an acoustic, with richard on bongos and i think isobel doing a bit of cello ... (someone correct on this if i'm wrong). it was the first time that mark saw the "band" and apparently stuart had shoulder length blonde hair back then too! anyhow, the set list (or programme as is written on the handout on the wall here at jeepster) is as follows: Mary Jo Expectations My Wandering Days Are Over You're Just A Baby Your Idea of Fun* I Don't Love Anyone The State I Am In (* i don't know what this song is ... stuart???) i think they had done a few gigs in glasgow as rhode island before this time ... there's a poster in the church hall flat with something along those lines on it, but i doubt that was the incarnation of B&S as we know them know ... probably just stuart m & stuart d & mick with the session musos from the dog on wheels ep (or something ... can you tell i'm guessing here) the first b&s gig i went to was at the borderline in london in november 1996 (can't remember the date though ... 5th or something? check andy dean's site, he's bound to have it written down somewhere! but i'm pretty sure it was before sinister was actually released) and they opened with rhoda ... don't know what the rest was though, sorry! there were the two concerts gigs (hang on, let me go look at the poster for the dates ...) umm, glasgow qm on the 8th march and edinburgh ballroom on the 9th march 1997. i didn't let david go up for them 'cos i was jealous ... ooh, how silly! :) kelvingrove/qm gig on the longest day (june 21st i think?) in glasgow, 1997. union chapel, london on 31st july 1997. oxford zodiac, august 2nd 1997. colchester arts centre, august 3rd 1997. angel orensanz foundation centre for the arts, new york on 6th and 7th september 1997. bam festival, plaza del rai, barcelona on 20th september 1997. manchester town hall, 28th and 29th december 1997. that's all i know. i know there's been other gigs in scotland etc. but i don't know the dates. byedebye, Katrina. -- ******************************************************************** jeepster recordings ltd. - jeepster.uk@virgin.net 217 canalot, 222 kensal road, london, w10 5bn ph - 0181 964 9432, fax - 0181 964 8600 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- .
