Sinister: I-i-i-in the stars I see your eyes
I went back to some places where I used to go as a child. If you've ever heard of 'jigsaws yellowing in a Post Office window' - well, the Post Office has become a hardware store. The only jigsaws there now are jig saws. I don't know whether this is good news or bad. The Geezer Miller said some things.
I've noticed that a lot of world leaders have names to do with ladies - Sharon, Fox, Bush, Putin. The list is endless.
But it just ended, you balloon. I see 'Sharon' (hey! what a hard man!) but not the others.
How eccentric do you have to be to get called eccentric by Sonic Boom?
That depends. Who is Sonic Boom? More to the point, where is my copy of Westworld's 'Sonic Boom Boy'?
I'd never heard of Delia Derbyshire before today, and although I still think someone made her up, from now on whenever someone mentions the word "Delia" I shall shout "DERBYSHIRE!" at the top of my voice.
Could someone, preferably called Keith, please tell me which Thin Lizzy records Phil Lynott used his
I know what you mean. I didn't believe in the Delia at first. But progressive ruralists insisted that she really existed, until suddenly she proved it by dying. I have to agree with La Winship about that photo of her. Cor! That made me wish I'd paid more attention to The Early Days Of Electronic Music. perspex bass on? Keith Richards probably could.
Does it make the whole band sound like the Buggles?
Some time ago Mister Richard compared B&S to Sly and the Family Stone. So why are they doing Arrested Development covers? I can't remember what horrible sarcastic comment I made at the time, but I bet it was
Coule someone, preferably called Peter, tell me who the Buggles are? perfectly valid. So do I. AD are rubbish. Was that valid? I've been reading Gravity's Rainbow because my editor will fire me otherwise. I'd like to Report Back, but I fear that he will fire me if I do.
What a crap tour! Thank goodness it's over.
I agree. Amy Bancroft talked about Strawberry Wine, and c&w songs named thereafter. But does she know Macca's grate song 'Venus & Mars', which mentions the drink? I'll bet her $10 that its melodic content is superior to that of her country song. And I don't even have any dollars. La B also talked about 13-hour drives. If I hadn't mucked up my driving c&w booze etc project I would send her a copy of it. I calculate that on her drive she could listen to it 14 times. But unfortunately it has vanished like a goat into the machine. I mean, ghost. We have a Finnish member, I see. What I want to know is, does she support Real Moomins or Continuity Moomins? David Moore has been 'On Fire' recently. I haven't been able to follow much of what he's said, but I want to echo what Gerry Adams memorably said at the Sinn Fein Ardh Feis (sp?) when he heard that Trimble had got the Good Friday agreement accepted at his own conference: 'Well Done, David'. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
