Sinister: I love Struan and Scarborough!
I have just got back from the most amazing night of my life. i am typing away at 12:40 in my college computer room with Feather Boa and Stuart Hallifax. I'm tired and so won't write too much now. I hired a bus to take everyone from York uni to the seaside. It was the happy bus and it was the happiest of time, driving through the countryside with B&S playing and lots of sun and lambs. When we got to Scarborough, it was amazing. So many indie kids! I saw every Belle And Sebastian t-shirt ever made and everyone looked so cool! the theatre was all nice and proper with "Playing today: Belle & Sebastian" written in Vegas style at the top. Jo got a photo. We were seated in row J and watched Brian Appleton/John Shuttleworth. He was amuzing, but after a while I found yself going "Where is Struan? I want to see Struan!" There was a small interval in which we could buy ice cream from the ice cream lady. Earlier I had seen two boys who lived in the sea and one little boy who was lost. Then they all came on, one after the other and I nearly fainted. I think I broke Jo's hand i squeezed it so hard. i couldn't stop beaming, but evrery time my smile got bigger I started to cry with hapiness. This was the best night of my life. They were amazing! I have never seen anything like it before. belfast Bob fitted in well, Struan was looking smart all in black, Stevie played guitar round his nipples and danced funkily as did Mick with his tartan pants. Isobel smiled a lot with a big butterfly bracelet on, Sarah sat down a lot and wore Green Flash, Beans was just cool and Richard looked in constant pain. The set list was similar to the Scottish gigs but with I Know Where The Summer Goes, Don't Leave the Light On Baby and a few others I don't remember seeing on the past set lists. All songs were great, the set rocked and Struan kept jumping about and saying lots. the second song was 'Theres Too Much Love' and Struan asked us all to come to the front and dance which i duly did until security made us go back. We clapped lots and I smiled very much. In the interval, they got people on stage to sing along to Summer Holiday! Lots of people came up and danced to some songs as well which was really funny. Everyone was going mad and kept dancing lots. Legal Man absolutely rocked, Sinister sounded gate, We Rule the School had strange new words "Skating a pyramid on ice is triangular" and everything was just fab! At the end I wanted more, but there was no encore. We all went outside to decide what to do next because our bus was not due for another hour. I waited around rather than go to the pub and it was a good thing I did! I MET THE BAND! I saw Beans packing up his stuff and went and asked for his autograph. he obliged and talked nicely to me. I was so chuffed, but when i next turned around, Struan was there. Me and Jo and Gina asked if we could have our photo taken and he told us we could and that he was going to the beach, would we like to go with him! We followed of course, as did a whole hoard of disciples as they realised who we were with. The poor man was overwhelmed, but smiled lots and told good stories and I got my photo taken twice! Later I saw Isobel and asked to have my photo taken. She said Yes. Next, Stevie came onto the beach with Bob and Richard. Tara and Stuart chatted to him and i listened for a bit until I saw Mick looking lonely. I went to talk to him and he was very chatty, lovely man. I am still in a daze, it was just grate fantastic amazing! Well, I'm sure there was other stuff i meant to say, but I'll put it tomorrow when I'm less tired and have calmed down! I met Struan I met Struan I met Struan I met Struan!
