Sinister: Attention: Felt heads
Hey blokes and birds, A friend of mine introduced me to the splendor and the mystery of Felt earlier this year, and I am as attracted to and enamored by Lawrence and company as I am by Murdoch and crew. Does anyone out in Belle and Sebastian land own any live recordings of Felt? Lawrence's admiration of Television and Tom Verlaine is well known, and, given Richard Lloyd's tendency to "jam" in concert, I assume Maurice Deebank often did the same. Anyway, songs like "Birdmen" and "The Stagnant Pool" have long guitar solos built-in. It would be an absolute delight if anyone had such recordings to share because Deebank's virtuosity on the guitar is unmatched (among 1980s guitarists, only Johnny Marr and Will Sergeant of Echo and the Bunnymen are in the same league as Mo).
