darling listy wisty i am not easily offended, but what upsets me is people telling others what to write, or not to write. Carmen's post wasn't very nice, and inaccurate. It's not as if the topic is so far removed from B&S that we continually talk about australasian sheep farming techniques, or the like. if we talked exclusively about b&S, where would we be? discussions concerned solely with the middle eight of mary jo?, the merits of the slow version of seeing other people?. interesting - yes, but not forever. The point is, the lives and opinions of the listees are frequently more interesting and funny than staying on topic. And who's to say that this isn't the topic anyway? Tear me apart and boil my bones, but being patronising is no way to win friends. But perhaps she doesn't want to. If so, i'd assume that maybe she expects something different from a list. So, my apologies, Carmen, i'm glad you like B&S, but you don't seem interested in the other people who like them too, and surely that is an integral part to this list?. Why is it that every time I check my mail, I have 175 emails all from the Sinister Belle and Sebastian fan club list, and usually none of them have anything to do with Belle and Sebastian. Why is this? I end up not even reading most of them because I know that if one is about Belle and Sebastian, it's about how Stuart Murdoch and Isobel might be a couple--who cares? I don't think either of them enjoy your assumptions of their relationship. Try keeping on the topic, please.
