wow...nouvelle vague, dreams, and velvet underground. I had a dream about B&S a while back. I can't remember the details, but I do know the lead singer was sitting behind me in the bleachers at an assymbly in the school gym. Middle school, I think. The subject of the meeting had something to do with empowering yourself ( you know, those useless pep talks from speakers who travel around to different schools trying to make a difference in everyone's life when in fact, everyone is making fun of them for being such a dork. At that age, you want people to tell you smoking is cool). But why middleschool? I haven't mentally visited that area in some time. Sure, I still go through the whole angst crisis of "I don't like my clothes" or "these people REALLY aren't my friends" but to have the lead singer sitting behind me not saying a word through that event is really strange. I got the idea that he was figuratively "behind me" in what I did. Hell, that might scare him if he ever reads these messages. I swear I'm not going to write him for emotional support or to borrow money! I want to do a confession though. I was amused by people shamefully admitting that they had Oasis in their CD collection. I can outdo that. I still have in my collection (before I became musically cool): Green Day Ace of Base Celine Dion. I tried to get rid of these at the 2nd hand shop, but nobody would take them.
