So this *adorable* Japanese girl called Yoko is visiting the states, and LOVES pop music....But has NEVER heard Belle & Sebastian....It's hard for us to talk alot, as she speaks very little English.....But she's been ringing me almost everyday....(We keep missing eachother)....We finally hooked up last night, and in my car she says..."Who....um....your phone? Who IS he?" She means Stuart M. singing "Sebastian you're in a mess....." on my answer phone. "He...he...pretty, lovely, voice!" I ask if she's heard Belle and Sebastian, she says "what? who? Belle??" So I pop in '3...6...9...Seconds of light.' And she's all wide eyed and reading the CD over, and over..."I like!!! I like!!! Belle??? Belle???" So I write it down for her and she says "sank you!!! sank you!!!" I was all warm and fuzzy, even tho I sneezed during the whole gig we went to, and Dub Narcotic got caught up in snow....And I promised her a B&S tape, which will be waiting in Japan for when she returns.....Don't know why i'm spewing all this.....Guess you would have had to be there. If anything, it cheered me up since Andy Dean's blocked me from his email and called the American Stalking police. I guess I *can* be pretty frightening.... *sigh*. My bear will now be re-named Yoko.
