i think it is obscure: '7th free record' by Smile ( there are other bands
called Smile, which are more well knowni woudl think!). this Smile was from
illinois ( champaign/urbana i think), about 5 years ago, and sounds a lot
like galaxie 500, in fact they ahd a song called 'galaxy 500'! its very
pretty music, and two tracks ended up on a compilation cd  ( 'on a clear
day you can see byron' ) but they weren't my favorite tracks, darn it!

i loved that record, bought two copies, each were indivudually hand painted
and numbered.  i traded one to someone for a field mice flexi, someone who
seemed cool, and i never heard back from them, and wondered if the album
offended them!
i wish i had that other copy again...
