I too once (in high school) fell in love with the music of the mighty 'zep.
I enjoyed it at the time.  Further, I would contend that their early music
is very reputable even on a critical standpoint. Did you know that Kenny
Pickett (from the Creation) was their roadie?  Robert Plant attended a
Divine Comedy show in New York and I didn't even recognize him (I was too
busy acting like a fool in front of Harvey Williams).

It (led zep) was a bit misogynist.  But the band was influenced by a lot of
misogynist music.

Did you also know that Stuart M used to listen to a lot of Yes (probably
less reputable than early Zep).
