i wanted to thank everyone who responded to my frenzied cries for help
about the chat stuff.  i did finally work it out and had a lovely (tho
short) conversation with john from milwaukee, rachel from nyc and nicholas
from greece (hi kids).  i did not catch the 9 o'clock chat, so i hope i
didn't miss the discovery of cold fusion or anything.
