Sinister: Re: singing songs for children

Cue fainting in disbelief....all of these songs by B&S that I've never
heard! Oh, the tragedy of it all! Were all of those songs on sessions
that are being taped and passed around, or what? I suppose that one
day, I'll have to get my act together and take someone up on their
generous offers of tapes made.

I walked past Ben Folds on Columbia street yesterday. He looked like he
was in a foul mood, so I didn't say anything, but I found myself
desperately wishing that I had a copy of "Tigermilk" that I could offer
to tape for him. Tragically, I don't. Have one, that is...

I spent the day making a tape of IYFS and the three EP's for a friend,
and I hadn't fully appreciated some of the songs (Le Pastie... and
String Bean Jean in particular). How does any one band get to be so
good? I think I'm dreaming...
