Sinister: first posting

I'm a little nervous, as I've been on the list for a week and not yet
figured myself witty enough to write something. (And this entry may prove
it)

But I'm wondering; as B&S will not be releasing anything new soon, nor will
they be here in San Francisco or ANY PART of the states any time soon, my
B&S "fix" is limited to IYFS. Are there any groups or artists of a similar
vein who could serve as as sort of substitute? I realize there's no one like
them (otherwise I wouldn't be subscribing to this list), but a little Nick
Drake, a little Left Banke, even a little Love can stretch out those B&S
vibes for me.

Does anyone have an additional suggestions (that are available in The US)?
I'd be grateful.

By the way, I'm getting a big kick out of all these "claims to fame" people
are making about people I've never heard of. And also BTW, I'm 27, female,
do NOT own a copy of Tigermilk, and have no clue who Jarvis Cocker is. Am I
missing out?
