Sinister: Modern Rock Song lyrics

"Laura's feeling just ideal
her horoscope was nearly perfect
she's thinking of something to do
because she is the birthday girl"

How does everyone interpret these lines - is it that her horoscope said
"you will be thinking of something to do because it is your birthday",
hence taking a pseudo-cynical swipe at the banality of horoscopes, which
provoke ill-founded (but nonetheless valid and heart-warming) feelings of 
idealness?

That's what I like to think anyway, but then I've been up all hours
writing commentaries on French poetry....  (yes, I am another student, but
I won't apologise for the fact)
