Sinister: People covering B&S

I have heard, through the grapevine, that the boy from Holiday who is playing solo does a cover of "Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying."  My friend, JimB and I think that's scandalous, that singing the line "nobody writes them like they used to/so it might as well be me" is somehow wrong.
Maybe that's just my feelings about Holiday (sleep-ING) shining through.
