Sinister: An Ink(?) Polaroid

Thinking of Sarah's ink polaroid of rain and cars..

A creased photo of Ricky standing at the entrace to Euston Square Tube station
as commutors pour around him into their busy lives. He is gazing through the
smog and drizzle down Gower Street, towards college and normality, BT's
Telecom Tower, well, towering above everything, cutting a swathe of gaudy
colour through the hues of mottled grey like nothing else in sight. Ricky
wears tatty jeans, the blue cartoon Belle and Sebastian t-shirt (that his
girlfriend ordered him for his birthday from the web site at fantastically
short notice - cheers), and a somewhat dejected expression. His hair is damp
and he looks kinda like the boy on the t-shirt. He turns away from the rush of
traffic, and trudges back down the stairs into the tube, turning his walkman
up to drown the noise of trains. The intro to Photo Jenny glides effortlessly
up into the street.

Ricky
(who is at college, a bit depressed, and who still thinks seventeen was a
better age to be)
