Infinitely better, I'd say.  That BBC version is a pile of old poo,
and the original is a bona fide classic in my book.  I remember 
listening to it many years ago on my personal stereo in Princess Street Gardens, Edinburgh, about 7 o'clock one sunny morning, having 
just arrived off the overnight coach from London, and thinking,
"isn't life beautiful".  And I've never even tried heroin.
