Sinister: compo

this is late, i know. 
it's already 1 october in the UK, but i'm not there. 
i'm here in the US and it's not 5:30 yet, by the clock on my computer
screen. and believe me, i know when half past arrives because that's when i
leave. 

i really did mean to write this sooner, but september has been a very short
month. everyone agrees with me so it must be true. and i've been scurrying
about like the hyperactive bunny i can sometimes be to find a gift for my
edward. i think i've finally narrowed it down to something that he'll like
and will also pass safely and quickly through customs when i post it. 

so you see, i've had my mind on other things lately and have not gotten
around to writing one of these things until now. i still haven't written it,
so let's see how it goes. 

oh, by the way, i've only now been subscribed to this list for ten minutes.
that is, here at work anyway. i have another e-mail account at home
(artyfartystudent at juno.com) but i hardly ever post to this list anyway so
you may not recognise my name. i've been on since the coollist days, though. 

~ink polaroid number one~
this is one of my leg. i got that bruise at a concert. i can't remember the
exact moment it happened. i'm sure it happened in that adrenaline rush to
climb over chairs and get to the front of the stage. after the show i pulled
up my trouser leg and there it was. beautiful, isn't it? i made helen take
loads of pictures of it cos i've never seen such a lovely shade of
blue/purple. for days after the show, i flashed my leg at anyone who would
look. i'd tell them that i got the bruise at a concert and they'd think i
was tough. oh yeah. and look right there at the top. over near the top of my
calf. see that swirl and that curve right there? i reckon the bruise looks
like elvis!

name on it 'round the corner.
