Sinister: re: compo etc

as anyone else realised that by putting 're: compo' as a
subject line and writing stuff in a certain way gets around
paul's restrictions on what is and isn't proper subject
matter for this list? 8)

this one's of a train, the 17:44 from euston to points west.
it's now approaching 18:00 and the train's still in the
station and tempers are beginning to fray. in the centre of
the frame is a youngish girl, black t-shirt with a purple
star, blonde shoulder-length hair tied back. she'd be
attractive but for the look on her face - she's not happy.
knowing that the train was going to be a while she'd just
popped out for ice-cream and there it is, a tub in each
hand. you can't make out what flavour it is but you know
it's going to be expensive (because that's the only type you
can buy in railway stations). anyway, she's just got back to
find that her boyfriend has given her seat to a stranger and
she'll have to stand until at least watford...

(i was as happy as a clam. i had anne tyler and a walkman
full of swedish pop from thailand for company. and i could
claim the whole thing as overtime at about 20 pence a
minute...)

um, wallace and grommit. you can now officially get anything
in the whole world with wallace and grommit printed on it.
no, really. (those shawn-shaped shoulder bags always make me
smile)

oh, and if the person from iceland still wants a copy of
tigermilk then just mail me...
