subcontingent... shed a tear for those of us who:
  (a) lived thru New Romantic without being able to remember it
  (b) were born in a bad hair *decade*
  (c) lived our entire lives until this year under the Tories
  (d) are less than half the age of a large proportion of our favourite
records
