a vast crowd that includes the Beatles, the Tindersticks, Nick Drake, the
Smiths, Paul Simon, and the Lovin' Spoonful.

Paul Simon? Where did that one come from? anyone got any thoughts?

Never mind this top 10 songs thing (agog though I am to hear the
"winner"), perhaps we should also vote for top B&S moments. Here are
     five of mine:

     1. the way Stuart sings "because she wanted
     informa-tion"... on Sinister
      2. that wee voice going "I don't know!" on Photo
     Jenny
     3. the way the melody suddenly kicks in at the
beginning of The State I'm In, in a moment of
unbearable beauty, and then builds and builds
     4. the last cheeky line of Centuries of Elvis
     5. the way you're not quite sure if Stuart will
reach the high note on "washing up" in She's Losing
     It

     just a thought
