Sinister: rough guide - Do you remember the first time?

I'm all for a collaborative venture for this Rough Guide entry. My idea
would be to include something about how their music has spread around
the world, if there was a general pattern. How did the magic of B&S
first enter your hearts?? I'd like to know how they've been chanced upon
across Europe and in America, Canada, Australia, Thailand... Maybe this
isn't suitable for the guide but I'd still be interested.

I'll never forget being metaphorically (I was sitting down at the time)
stopped in my tracks by hearing The State I am In on the radio when Mark
and Lard did the graveyard shift on Radio 1. That would probably be
number 1 in my "Belle and Sebastian magic moments" list as well. I just
sat there thinking "WOW!!!".

So that's how I began. How was it for you. To take the pressure from
Paul's flu wracked frame [hope you're better soon] I'd be happy to
collate any info on this particular thread. So you can send it to me or
share with the group as you see fit.
