Sinister: Cover Versions

On the subject of cover versions, I'd personally like to hear Belle and
Sebastian covering Orlando's "Save Yourself". But then again, I would: I
wrote it.

I also read with interest the New York Times piece on the recent concerts by
B&S and Beth Orton that was posted here recently:

>Ms. Orton dedicated "I Wish I Never Saw the Sunshine" to Diana, Princess of
>Wales, softly intoning such moving lyrics as "If I never saw the sunshine,
>baby, then maybe I wouldn't mind the rain."

I take it that the correspondant didn't realise that this was of course, a
cover version of The Ronettes' "I Wish I Never Saw The Sunshine", recorded
in the 60s by Phil Spector but shelved until the numerous Spector reissues
years later...

I hate it when I know more about music than people who are paid to do so.
