	    connie.........played by some cowboy's bimbo
	    brad.............played by himself
	    barb.............played by herself

scene: saturday at midnight inside the town's most famous pizzeria.

(act 1 scene 1)
(brad is dutifully mopping up after a long night of making pizzas for
undeserving people. there is a look of scorn on his face because he
wasn't supposed to be at work this late and all his friends are waiting
for him, but one of the other employees decided they wanted to be
"sick", thus, leaving brad to carry the load.)

(the door opens) : doing!
brad : hey. how's it going?
bocephus: purty good. purty good.
brad: can i help you?
bocephus: let me look for a minute.
brad: okay.

(brad continues to mop. he was hoping that no other customers would come
in. like the story goes.....his friends are waiting for him. belle and
sebastian playing loudly in the background is his only consolation in
these trying times)

bocephus: hey, boy. what's that crap you listening to?
connie: hee hee
brad: (hesitantly) it's a band called beele and sebastian
bocephus: belly who?
brad: belle and sebastian
bocephus: the guy sounds like a goddam faggot with that high voice. you
like faggot music, boy?
connie: hee hee
brad: (brad just stares at the cowboy figure)
connie: hee hee
barb: you ready to order, sir?
bocephus: yeah.
brad: (still staring right into the cowboy's eyes)

(curtain)
