Rumours of my demise have been greatly exaggerated, as a bloke once kind
of said.

As I said a fortnight ago, I've been sitting my finals (don't ask!).
Sinister had the lucky pleasure of being the only list to which I've
remained subscribed, and all your posts have been much enjoyed. I'm just
surprised that the query about my disappearance appeared in this thread --
I was looking in the "shithead" one.

And so on with the show...

For those who haven't heard, the Scottish media had a field-day at the
beginning of last week interviewing councillors and residents in Falkirk
asking what they thought of this band who'd been slagging off Falkirk.
(Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the Strap from Grangemouth anyway?)
One councillor said "We're a very youthful up-and-coming town. We have a
cyber-cafe." Grannies said they were disappointed. Buskers said that
Falkirk was fantastic. A well-informed bloke said "It doesn't matter,
cause they're rubbish."

Am I the only listee who thinks that Arab Strap are a bit on the poo side?

I weren't there. At that time, I was attempting to learn 4 months worth
of lectures in two days. I was being so studious that when a bunch of
friends came around for a piss-up, I stayed in my room and kept studying
until 22:30, the big girly-swot that I am.

We then went on to the re-housed FBI -- back at it's spiritual home in
Moray House Union. A rather fab night was had spotting groups of people
that I recognised from other clubs... "Yeah, they normally go to North.
And I've seen them at Evol."

Indeed, one of my spies reckons he spotted our beloved Laird there.
Checking out the competition, eh? ;)

And DJ Lee played "What You Do To Me" by the fannies, which caused me to
rake out my LP of Bandwagonesque the next day. I dare anyone to come up
with an album which has four tracks of sheer pop perfection in a row to
match The Concept, Satan, December and What You Do To Me. Utterly
gob-smackingly fabboo!

Indeedy. I'd never realised how incredibly strong Thom Yorke's voice was.
You going to see them live on Saturday night? (I'm just trying to find
someone else to go along with, cause I hate going to concerts alone)

Virgin in Embra usually have a selection of them (at least, they did the
last time I was near the compilations aisle. Which, come to think of it,
was quite a long time ago). Try raking around there (sorry... that's the
best I can do)

I was too scared to show up to the Glesga one, in case Tag beat me up.
However, if you do an Embra picnic before the middle of August (when I
bugger off to the other side of the world), I'll show up in my Yogi Bear
costume and steal a few of your picernic baskets. (Who wants to be Boo
Boo?)

Til the next time, this is RB saying BFN... Bye For Now!

Rod.
