Sinister: to NYC listees

Hi there,

I'll be doing an internship in Manhattan this summer (Granary Books).
Though I have spent a lot of time in the museums and galleries and going
to shows (and am looking forward to exploring) I'm hoping you can
recommend good places to buy music, to hang, to eat, things to see, etc...
sort of a "sinisterine's guide to nyc"! (plus: any chance of summer
picnics?)
