Try the Champs (or CH4MP5, if you'd rather). they're always being described
as "math rock". Sort of a reclaimation by smart people of heavy metal
technical wizardry and complexity. 

btw, if it means anything to anyone, Tim Green (of Nation of Ulysses fame,
and producer of many fine albums) is in the combo. And they're about the
furthest thing from B&S i can imagine.
