hey kids
when i was "researching" the records i was going to copy for Jim's Xmas tape
swap deal (which i am pleased to say that i mailed off today, so some lucky
boy in england will be getting an ace tape that includes Tom Jones' "things go
better with coke," steven fields' "legalize heroin," st etienne's "are we
gonna be alright?" and various tracks from Culturcide), anyways I realized
that I've not played my Rapeman 7" for "inki's butt crack/song #1" in ages, so
i put that osng on the tape.  anyways my big-black connection point is this:
	is the stuff about "jordan, minnesota" true? i first heard that song in 1989
when I prepped it to play in my old college radio show (april, to be exact -
april 13 i think) and i've always wondered if the stuff involved in that song
was true.  At the time, I just blindly believed it and I even announced on the
air about the meaning of the song... but what if I was wrong?

Personally I can't stand the whole math-rock stuff, or whatever those bands
are.  Tortoise, Sea and the Cake, Rex, Guvner, Bardo Pond, Idaho, Low... I
mean i know they're super talented, but I just get bored with them.  Scary to
think I've seen them all live at various times.  Actually I walked out on a
Low gig 'cause I was just too bored, wound up driving home with Whigfield's
"ain't it blue" blasting in my car stereo.

I'm in a severe bind.  Does anyone know the compilation called Blub Krab, from
the late '70s? The most famous artist on it was Jad Fair, who later became
famous for his Half Japanese band, although Jad Fair also is well known in
some musical circles.  The reason why I need this compilation so badly is not
because of Jad Fair, but because of the Pablums' "Under my Gums" which was a
great parody of "Under my Thumb" and if anyone sees this compilation I'd be
willing to pay over $25 for it, yes i'm that desperate.  I paid the equivalent
of US$17 (BEF550) for Culturcide's _Tacky Souvenirs of the American
Revolution_ (sic?) album which is still one of my favorite records, but I'm
willing to pay sooo  much more for Blub Krab if anyone can find it for me.  I
know this isn't a marketplace but I'm desperate and I'm not sure where else I
can turn.  The fact that I really want Blub Krab has been grinding away at me
for the past 3 years.

the wait, I think!
