Sinister: what's a nice record like you doing in a place like this?

     I'd like to start the bidding on this with Emporio Armani in Covent 
     Garden. My flatmate Davie works there and managed to get them to play 
     the whole of TBWTAS last week.
     
     Not strange, perhaps, but certainly unexpected...
     
     PS I see that a letter in the beginning of the execrable Melody Maker 
     (the one with THAT cover "story") about the appalling state of the 
     charts is answered by some woeful smartass staff member with words to 
     this effect: "...and all you'd be left with is Belle and Sebastian and 
     Steps. Is that what you want?" For Davie, this combination would truly 
     be a dream come true. Now that is strange.
