evening all

why is it that weekends go so fast? it was rather a good one though; spent
it in london, and made it to the pastels gig where lady penelope, biondino,
funkyseb and a whole host of other sinisterians were congregated at the
back of the garage. v-twin were supposed to be supporting, but future
pilot turned up instead, but i missed them anyway so i was quite relieved!
stephen pastel has a duffelcoat and a very silly dance, and katrina has a
lovely luna t-shirt, just like mine!

but first, something that amused me whilst sheltering from the rain in
picadilly circus HMV. i was wandering around aimlessly trying to find the
singles section, and stumbled across the salako album, but it was not where
i expected to find the piece of P!O!O! that is 'reinventing punctuation'.
no, it was in the METAL section, along with slayer, cannibal corpse,
megadeth and the like. i'm sure the metalheads will all enjoy the twee
lyrical poignancy of the story about a man called bill, who lives on edible
flowers and gets wee kittens as presents.

i bought 'cat power' and 'the secret stars' - not bad, but i'm hoping
they'll grow on me.

that's it - off to bed
rob

p.s. never try doing riverdance to the prodigy - you look very silly
