Asunto: Sinister: Dolly Parton's guitar

Robert McTaggart of Stoke-on-Trent wrote on a Sunday morning:

My favourite Tindersticks song is their Nancy and Lee tribute 'A
marriage made in heaven', although it sounds more like Nick Cave and
Clare Grogan than N&L. I wonder what happened to the Isabella
Rosselini version. Don't all write at once.

I heard it on the radio not long ago. I am ashamed to say I switched it off
before it had finished. Not because I didn't like it, but because I had
successfully completed my ablutions and it was time to leave the bathroom.

But I love a good duet,
being the big soppy pussycat that I am ... big favourites are 'Some
velvet morning' and 'Je t'aime'.

My vote goes to "Tippy Toes" and "Bonnie and Clyde" respectively.

I hope everyone else will make it their February resolution to take a
leaf out of Megan's book and make it their personal mission to amuse,
entertain and excite in the future. Because if I read another
dull-witted post repeating tedious facts that another 50 listees have
also posted, I will kill, or at least maim.

Repeats of tedious facts are inevitable, and for most people, or at least
some people, they are not repeats. But I would like to add my voice to
Robert's plea for more amusing, entertaining and exciting posts in the
future. Or at least a load of shite.

Peter
