hello again belle and sebastian people. the e.mails have been fair flooding
in, and i've tried to e.mail a few people personally (and i hope they didn't
mind) i hadn't plucked up the courage to mail the lot of you again. but, hey,
the net is slow so my essay on david lynch will have to wait.

all this talk of literature, films and other bands made me wonder whether or
not a kind of poll of list members favourite novels, films, albums, just plain
things might be a good idea. after the strange music for the millenium
experience that was on channel four a couple of weeks back (some people
actually considered spice girls worthy of a place?! but i guess we have to be
tolerant don't we, however hard going it is......sigh

what else? i've been wandering round for a while trying to think of things to
put in my message, but no, inspiration fails me. certainly i've had an
interesting few days since i joined up and provactive too i guess. and i
haven't laughed out loud at so many things (tele tubbies pulp thing had me
crawling on the floor gasping for breath, but then that was probably just me
having had to sit through two hours on collection management (don't ask me
what it was about, i was sitting through teh whole thing and have less than no
idea) and laughiong at anything at all really. such is life.

er. where was. mr tangent goes off again. yes. you all seem to have really
interesting tastes in everything and i've been compiling lists of things to
look out for. maybe a poll thing might uncover a few more gems. its probably
been done before and i'm being out of order but sorry. just an idea.

i do like the positivity and friendliness of this list a lot, though. people
talking openly about their lives, the joy music brings to them, the desire to
do something with their lives, just the whole get off your rear and do
something as opposed to the whole anal bootleg scene that manifests itself so
often. i like it here. i will miss it when i have to leave uni i think. this
picnic thing sounds fun, even though i tend to be a bit shy at such occasions
and lurk in the undergrowth. anyway. i'll wipe the rabid foam from my mouth
and again say thank you for bringing a lot of colour into my life. its like
meeting a whole group of friends who've just been waiting for you, right under
your nose.

thanks for listening

any blessings welcome...

chris
