According to a recent interview with Calvin Johnson in the Onion (which can
be found somewhere on the internet), the singer/guitar player, Beat
Happening never really broke up, they just got so involved in other
projects that they stopped their work together.  He said he didn't see them
getting back together anytime soon, but wouldn't say never.   He is still
running K records, and leads the group Dub NArcotic, which came through
town (Denver) to play in a warehouse in the fall.   I think his voice would
really be interesting doing a B&S cover, Track and Field, maybe?
