okey dokey, spaccy record company boring time ... :)

David and i heard the song formerly known as "Soft Touch" and now
bearing the name "Slow Graffiti" either at a band rehersal, or at the
Kelvingrove/QM gig last year.  I think we had a set-list or something
with "Soft Touch" written on it, but upon questioning Mr Murdoch,
discovered that the track is called "Slow Graffiti".  The film of "Acid
House" will be released later on this year and for all of those who
haven't read the book, it is basically a collection of short stories. 
Three of those stories have been chosen for the film, including one
entitled "A Soft Touch" (where the main female character's name,
incidentally, is Katrina but spelt differently).  So, B&S were asked to
provide a track for that story in the film, which ended up being "Slow
Graffiti".  They were also asked to do the score (predominantly
cello-based if i do recall that correctly) for the "soft touch" section,
but i don't know if that actually happened or not.

The film should be released about June-ish and i think B&S have been
asked to release "Slow Graffiti" as a single, as well as it being on the
soundtrack lp.  I don't know any more though ...
