Great, does that mean we get the chance to slag off the bands we really
detest? My top 5 worst bands at the moment, in true "High Fidelity" style;
(qualification; they make me change stations whenever I hear them on the
radio): Ocean Duller Scene, Alanis Bagofshite, Sp*c* G*rls, Oasis and
Byron Stingly. Not a new idea (and not a tune) between them.
Actually thinking about it maybe that's not such a good idea, we're all
meant to be happy bunnies. Too late now. Oh bugger.

A short story written as if you were talking about a photograph whilst
showing it to somebody else. Stuart M's written a book of them, which you
can buy off the website. Which you can't get to. Which isn't much use
really. But never mind. The last competition on the list was to write one
ourselves; since that was a few months ago now, and there's loads of new
members, maybe that could be revived?

Without doubt the most romantic chat-up line ever... must use that one
sometime...

Ah, the joys of true love, the sleepless nights, the daydreams, the
repeated attempts to summon up the courage to talk to the object of your
desire... Actually, what am I talking about? I've never found anyone worth
fretting over for 10 months. 3 maybe, but that was exceptional
circumstances. So here I am, a sad lonely figure, waiting for the day my
dream woman walks into my life, currently pinning my hopes on a blind date
next Tuesday (probably in vain, my last blind date never even showed
up...)

Nope, it's just you.

The mere thought of Ian Broudie dancing scares me. Great singer and
songwriter, but with all the glamour and pizzazz of a brussel sprout in
a suburban garden on a wet morning in March.

And big huggy-wuggies and slobbery kisses from all in Britain,
honey-pumpkin...
The Tall Git
(Just back from the pub... Does it show?)
