Sinister: chatting

well, i'm about to pummel my computer with a large and heavy object.  may
as well do it with my record player and stereo while i'm at it.  but
anyway, the reasoning is that global chat version 1.3 has started to make
my computer freeze.  so what to do?  the links on the web pages weren't
taking me anywhere, as global chat has been acquired by ichat, who
apparently isn't advertising them on the web page.  so where should i go?
what's a mac user to do?  boo-hoo, help me!
