Probably you asked me this question only because I'm italian, but I do
believe that there are at least another italian on the list (I think that
he lives really close to me, not farer than 30 Km, and this is really funny
and strange).
So, counting my girlfriend, I know three italian people who love Belle and
Sebastian.
It's really easy to say how I got into them: more than a year ago I started
finding in the "always hated" english music papers, like MM and NME, short
essays on B&S, which said that they were really good and their musical
references where a lot of bands I liked.
So I started looking for their records, and, even if I had no opprtunity to
find them in Italy, I asked a friend of mine who was going to London to buy
DoW and ..Sinister.. for me. He did!!!
I fell in love since the first time I heard to the single. It was
astonishing!
Now tht B&S are much well known here in Italy, it's easy to find their
records in any good import shop.
So I hadn't any problem to buy their two other singles (LLPJ and 3,6,9..).
As you may think, I don't own "Tigermilk" and I'm sure i'll never get it
until there will be the reissue of it.
But I'll wait......
Love, Francesco.

I think about life
and I think about death
and neither one particularly appeals to me...."
