i haven't managed to persuade myself to buy it, much as i'd like to, on
the grounds that bands / individuals rarely if ever recover from releasing
crap albums, even if they'd been superb before (thus new adventures in
hi-fi being ok, but nowhere near up to previous standard, after the
monstrosity that was monster).

this isn't really relevant, is it?
