I think that it was probably meant as a joke and not to be taken too
seriously.

Um, ok. (says the following as he fastens helmet and backs into a
trench) if "doing a tape for someone" can include recording Tigermilk
onto a tape (you didn't specify), why is that then different to
recording Tigermilk onto a CD? If it is only going to one person anyway,
why does it mattter what format it happens to be on? If, say, I had the
equipment to record onto a CD would you be opposed to me copying
Tigermilk onto it for a mate so that s/he could listen to it?
