ah... slight misunderstanding here methinks... the original posting 
referred to Northern Soul as in rare 60's soul records played at clubs 
that dust the floor with talcum powder in order to let those feet
glide....... Not  A Northern Soul as in verve's second album...

you must give the lad a break tho'.i'd not heard of northern soul until
i'd joined this list (cripes!).. and being in australia - far, far away
from where all the fun began, it's an easy enough mistake to make.
