Hello all:

For more info on the band who have made the album to top in 1998,
http://www.caroline.com have a wonderful Air site, complete with a
discography. Go there, you can even listen to the entire album(Moon Safari)
as well as selected early singles. Dig those groovy graphics, too!

I also must sing the praises of the _Premieres Symptomes_ EP! An amazing
little piece of plastic! I stumbled across a promo of it at work back in
November (basically took it because of the artwork, I hadn't heard of them
before["i only buy a book for the way it looks"]) and subsequently fell
under its super-hypnotic spell. One of those records that possesses its own
unique feeling, a record that makes you actually *feel* something,
something no other record makes you feel. I played it in my car quite
literally everyday for two weeks on my drive to and from work(one
way=almost exactly the length of the EP). Quite beautiful, especially those
last two tracks. Seek it out. Does there really exist a 40 minute version
of Casanova 70?!? Anyone with info on how to get this in the States, please
e-mail me privately.

Also, anyone who might be as obsessed with this band as I am might want to
check out the Source Lab series of CD compilations, particularly Vol. 3,
which has an unreleased song called "Cosmic Bird", a beautiful
collaboration with Jean Jacques Perrey(who they also collaborated with on
Moon Safari's stunning "Remember"). Volumes 1 & 2 contain songs found
later on the PS EP.

And if you're really a nutter you might want to pick up the Ettiene de
Crecy disc, "Super Discount", which contains one Air tune remixed by EDC.

*On the B&S front, any DC area listers interested in owning a vinyl version
of IYFS should get in touch with Vinyl Ink in Silver Spring, MD. I bought
one of the two copies they had in stock yesterday. It's gorgeous. Hurry.
Bring $19 and enough change for tax.

One last thing: does anyone have a setlist for B&S's Sessions performance?
Yes, I was in attendance for this, but as they played almost exclusively
either new songs or songs off of Tigermilk(which I had not heard at that
point), I'm a bit miffed as to what it was I witnessed. I do recall Mayfly
cuz Stuart forgot the words, and also Judy... And if my retrroactive memory
serves me right, I think they did Slow Graffitti(which he called Pendulum
or something, maybe??!?). As you can tell, I'm a tad confused. Anyone who
can clear it up with a setlist , I would be most appreciated!
