that now, when I have more work than I can possibly conceive of, I should
dash off a quick posting to the list.

1) I speak Spanish. Hablo español. Alguien en esta lista quien quiera
discutir B&S en español, ¡escribame! Me gusta decirme que escribir a los
listees españoles es una manera de practicar la lengua...y entonces no me
siento tan mala cuando gasto tiempo escribiendo emails en vez de, no sé,
leer un ensayo de Simón Bolivar o algo así.

2) B&S made it in the top 10 of my university's radio station's playlist
last week! the "3, 6, 9..." EP is still wowing Djs and listeners alike. And
I got IYFS on vinyl, and it does sound a little different than the enclave
CD version, but I think that's more a result of the different medium...

3) Trembling Blue Stars: I just stumbled upon their latest album, and it's
so pleasant...can anyone tell me more about them?

4) my carp! I seem to have lost my treasured carp in the Sinister room!
this was the same carp I used to smack Stuart D. when he stumbled in there
over the weekend...has anyone seen it? St. Lucy? Pyth? Johnm? Minka? Risso?
HoneyPaulieGrrrlChile? I'd hate to have to resort to, say, sea bass. And
besides, it was sort of like a relic, you know?

5) anyone who I've arranged to send tapes to...please email me to remind me
of exactly what I am to be sending you! I have a list here, and some of
them are done, but I have the feeling I'm forgetting something...in any
case...

okay, must be off to finish art history reading. can anyone offer any
insights into symbolism, or the incongruity therein, in Jan van Eyck's
Ghent Alterpiece?
