Isn't it fantastic! Jo Whiley just played 'The State I'm in', X fm
just played Century of Fakers, and It's impossible to avoid that there Salako
song. The only thing is, I never realise what it is until the chanty bit at
the end, so I never get to tape it. But there seems to be a (mini) media
bombardment going on. All right, a very small bombardment. Surely the magazine
covers can't be far off now. Maybe Select will do inflatable Stuarts? And the
sound of Dog on Wheels will waft tantalizingly from every open window, in
every street of every city...Oh! I'm suddenly very excited that by the end of
this year, there'll be another album, another tour, maybe even a proper
interview? Oh, probably not actually.
I'm sorry, I'm waffling rubbish today, it's just I've finally got
a part in a proper, major film, (getting battered to death with ping pong
bats), and I'm so happy that I can't stop talking to people now, even though I
have nothing to say.
Erm...B&S..did anyone on the list see Chris Geddes on the wheels of
steel last night? i'd love to know what 'platters', in his opinion, 'matter'.
Something scary and industrial, I fancy, i read somewhere that he rawks a
great deal.
Someone mentioned something about a weird man on Victoria
Station?
Well, in an unrelated way, I was sat on London's fashionable Marylebone
station today, and the payphone rang suddenly.
Hello?, said my camp friend.
'You must be outside the coffee shop', replied a weird old lady, 'I'm waiting
for my son. You should go and get some milk.'

After a few minutes spent pondering the meaning of this, the phone rang again.
'Hello, ' I said.
'Is there an injured person on the station?' she said.
'No.'
'Look. See if there are lots of dead people on a train. There will be.'
And she hung up.
The woman was totally sincere, and quite scary. Has anyone else had this
happen? I mean, was this a one off or does she phone all major stations, to
scare impressionable, Scream fixated teenagers? I'd like to know.

Oh, and I've just bought an orange toothbrush in honour of Holland. Hoorah!

Sorry about the length of this mail, I just had a lot to get off my chest
there.
Seb
