Sinister: Tape Trees/My Last day as a teenager

Hello there Sinisterines,
I have been oogling the idea of a tape tree. It appeals quite well to
me, I must say. I wholly adore making tapes, and people usually say I
make pretty good ones, packed with not a shabby amount of P!O!P!. I had
initially gotten confused, though, on the way we're going to be handling
the tree. Is it to say that every person will be required to make a new
tape every other week? I think the newer impression that I got was that
we'd each make one shining, brilliant, gorgeous mixtape (in our opinion
of gorgeous, brilliant, and shining) and then toss this into the mail
(or the post ;) and sit by our mailbox until we got a tape from another
tape forester. Then we'd dub ourselves a copy of the new tape, toss it
into the mail, and wait for another? Is that close to being correct?
Also, a couple logistics of the thing are bothering me. Should we set
the gain extra-high to compensate for the quietness of the copies?
Wouldn't that also distort the sound quality a bit much? Should we find
a nice, high-quality cardboard box so that the person who gets the
mixtape only has to pay for postage, and not the purchase of a new
package? Hm, I just remember I have a nice shiny blue packet that I
rescued from the trash at my radio station.
Anyway, as the subject header says, today is my final day as a
teenager. Yes, I turn 20 tomorrow, that being July the twelfth. In fact,
some thousands of years ago tomorrow, a small child was born, and they
named him Julius Caesar. In 1978, a similar birthing happened, whereby a
perhaps less memorable person was born. Hm. So yes, I'm mentally
preparing to leave my teens and enter my tweens (not a twee reference,
but in fact a literary one). I woke up this morning with a headache, a
pain in my neck, and feeling horribly tired, despite the fact that I'd
slept in. I hope that doesn't speak for the years to come. A portent of
sorts =( Anyhoo, I ordered myself a brand new CD Recordable for my
computer, so maybe when that arrives it will make me feel better =P
Well, I must hop into the shower, as a friend called and asked if I'd go
eat lunch with him. Maybe the day won't be as bad as it begun...oh,
knock on wood ;)
