chipping in to also say that Morvern Callar is a great book. there's some
great parts to it, and the repetition of the goldish lighter line is lovely,
it fits with the whole Can/techno repetition angle that runs through the
book too. much better at pointing out the importance of musical compilation
tapes than high fidelity too... I also liked the way the cigarettes change.
i hate the end though, it's so depressing. won't say anymore. he's got a new
one out though, hasn't he? supposed to be good. Oh and forget the point that
he's 'scottish', like that matters... he's a good writer, geography doesn't
come into it.

stay gold.
