I disagree.

Most genuine football fans treat the world cup as a celebration of the worlds greastest sport.  

In this country it's just the mindless few with the idea firmly fixed in their heads that we are still at war with Germany and then given enough beer the rest of the world as well.  I don't think this displays any nationalist tendencies rather a complete lack of brain cells.

These people probably have very little interest in football.
