Sinister: the importance of being a sod

The Sarah-that-is going-now-bye!!! wrote that all Sinisterines, except one,
are sods for not sending her any birthday wishes.  Ahem, well, Sarah, you must
be a sod too since you didn't send me any birthday wishes on June 15 when I
turned twenty.  One Sinisterine did wish me well--so with your birthday
wisher, there are now two un-sods on the list.  Sarah and I, since we did not
wish each other happy birthday, are sods.  

	More importantly (perhaps), what is a sod?  Is it a permanent state or does
it pass, like puberty?
