Ah The 6ths.  Not really another band.  More of a tribute to himself.
Stephin wrote all the songs and then had his favorite indie rock vocalists
come in and sing the words to his wonderful bubblegum electro pop ditties.
Guests include Georgia Hubley (Yo La Tengo), Lou Barlow (Sebadoh, Folk
Implosion, etc), Mac McCaughan (Superchunk, Portastatic), Mark Robinson (Air
Miami, Unrest), Mary Timony (Helium), Barbara Manning (SF Seals), and too
many others to list hear.  This is my favorite Stephin Merritt project
because the variety of vocalists is wonderful but the music keeps this album
very cohesive and doesn't allow it to become a compilation or mix tape
affair (I really hate that stuff).
